Manzanita Rock Meadow
With its own entrance, the Manzanita Rock Meadow campsite includes piped water, a level pad and additional tent site, shade trees and about an acre or more to spread out into. If you have Verizon or T-Mobile, there is excellent cell coverage. There is a solar power station so if the sun is/has been out there are electrical plug-ins.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To access this site, it is highly recommended that you have a high clearance vehicle as the road is unmaintained. There is a hairpin turn into the site, making it challenging for low clearance trailers or large RVs.
The site includes a composting toilet for poo inside a privacy tent (please pee outside to maintain the integrity of our Humanure system), a round table with umbrella that seats four (bring your own camp chairs), a 48” table for your camp stove and dishwashing station, a Weber grill, a chiminea for building a fire (when the fire ban is not in effect), and solar string lights in the trees above.
Check with us if you would like to rent any equipment, including camp stove, hammock, or to purchase firewood or charcoal.

Laughing Buddha
Our more developed site, closer to our residents’ compound welcomes vans, RVs or tents and has a gorgeous large deck with a fire pit (when the fire ban is not in effect) and two cushioned outdoor rocking chairs, along with firewood bundles and charcoal available to purchase.
This is the spot for you if you want your privacy but also want to be closer to what’s happening on the homestead, which currently includes the development of a greenhouse, chicken yard and gardens; and near future plans to create a celtic labyrinth just down from this site. Also, it’s a bit easier for larger RVs to maneuver.
Just far enough away is a Krapper-with-a-view! (Please pee outside to maintain the integrity of our Humanure system.)
Strong cell signal (Verizon and T-Mobile).
Don’t worry if you forget some essentials. Let us know what you need and we may have it available to loan out. We also have a stash of essentials like toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoos etc.

Pets & Fires
Quiet, well-trained pets are welcome but keep in mind there is quite a bit of wildlife that gets active at night (a lot of barking can ensue), and the outlying areas have poison oak.
Check with us about fires. There are times of the year when they will be banned due to the high risk of wildfires. Otherwise, you may use the fire vessels provided.
